Momenta Lab
Research for good, solutions with purpose.
About
Technology, put to good use.
At Momenta Lab we build powerful, intuitive software that serves a clear, helpful purpose. The world can't be saved by a product — but it can be improved through open collaboration and a steady dedication to using technology for good.
Our work centers on making complex ideas accessible: turning dense concepts into tools anyone can use, explore, and understand on their own terms.
What we build
Persimmon
Our first offering, now on the Apple App Store: an AI-enabled way to explore academic research. Language models summarize each paper to your level of experience, so newcomers and experts alike can read new science with genuine understanding.
Spindle
A lightweight, self-hosted companion for vinyl collectors: scan a barcode to pull metadata from Discogs, track condition and value over time, and export a beautiful printed catalogue — everything runs locally, so your collection stays fast, private, and yours.
